About this event

What is JRMF?

JRMF is a celebration of math, where students problem solve through several tables of games, puzzles or problem sets with mathematical themes. At each table, they work as long as they would like, while a facilitator provides support and encouragement. They are motiviated by the social and cooperative setting, rather than from any prize, grade, medal, or ranking.

Have a younger sibling? (PreK- Grade 1)

If you are registering one or more older child, you are welcome to bring their younger sibling. We will have some free activities for them, they do not need to be registered. We request the parents ensure the younger siblings remain under supervision in the free area.

Note: this is not a drop off event, we require a parent/guardian to remain on premises.

We ask that parents explore the GEAC information tables while their child works with the trained facilitators. In other words, please, NO parents or PreK-Grade 1 siblings at the activity tables.

There may be photography at this event. This photography will not be used for commercial purposes, but may be used for educational purposes to improve our future events.

Participation in this program and related activities is at the sole discretion and judgement of the parent or guardian and may involve an inherent risk of physical injury. Parents assume all such risk. Participants release and agree to hold harmless GEAC and the LWSD Highly Capable Programs Office and its Board Members and volunteers and employee from claims, actions, damages and liabilities for personal injury or damage relating to or arising out of any program activity. GEAC and LWSD are not responsible for lost or stolen property.

Need-based scholarships are available. If the cost is a financial hardship please email us at info@lwsdgeac.org.
